There were a couple of queries recently about the safety of this site. This surprised me in that I never ask you for name, IP number or any other data, nor do you download from here.
All I could think of as problematic were the Spam comments of which I get far too many. I moderate the comments so that such never appear. That is I mark the comments as Spam. I - perhaps naively - thought that this was sufficient. However the Spam comments had never been deleted. and for over 10 years their non-deletion did not cause a problem. The recent warnings from Norton and Google presumably result from rewrites of their tools. Anyway I deleted all the Spam comments, and then asked Google and Norton for a re-evaluation.
